Most people are familiar with the important documents that helped create and shape American democracy from 1776 to the present day. But how often have you had a chance to probe these documents deeply and discuss them with others? When did you last exchange ideas about American history in a free and open forum?
Now is the perfect time to revisit five primary texts, included in the Will of the People, that have had a massive influence on our society:
Join us for four live, online Shared Inquiry™ discussions that will investigate these documents thoroughly. A seasoned Great Books professional learning consultant will moderate each session, inviting you to share your ideas and to listen closely to the ideas of your fellow discussers. We guarantee that you will leave each meeting energized and brimming with new ideas, as well as appreciation for the Americans who laid the groundwork for the vital nation we live in.
To prepare for each discussion, every participant should read the text twice, prepare questions about the text, and annotate key ideas within the texts. Discussions will take place on Zoom. We ask that you have your camera on during discussions! Please be ready to discuss the first selection, The Federalist No. 51, on October 27, 2026.
